Where do we want to be?

Science-based net-zero target

Cala has made a commitment to help fight the effects of climate change on the planet by reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain in line with the Scottish Government’s 2045 target and ahead of UK Government’s 2050 target. Our targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) under the Buildings Sector criteria.

Zero-carbon ready homes by 2030

Through low carbon heating technologies such as air source heat pumps, we aim for all Cala homes to be zero-carbon ready by 2030. To support this, all new developments going to planning from 1st January 2024 will be gas-free.

Biodiversity action plan

We want to enable our customers to live sustainably in communities that support biodiversity. Our teams are developing a biodiversity strategy to be rolled out on all new developments.
